He's 4... Alex is 4!!!

Alex turns 4 tomorrow. Wow... another year of his life has been lived... and lived to the fullest indeed.

He still loves his cars, sleeps with his stuffed Elmo is learning to skateboard and meditates on a daily basis.

He's 100% raw, living in the wild and learning so much about the environment he lives within.

In the Spring Alex and his Mom were walking up a road and dropping raw sunflower seeds as they walked. Melissa explained to him that because their food is alive - it can grow into a plant. Months passed and Melissa took Alex back to the road... they found it lined (on both sides) with sunflowers! Then in late summer, they harvested their crop and are now enjoying the seeds of their labour! How cool is that?

They homeschool daily, spend time at the park, watch the sun rise and the sun set every day - it is a magical existence they are blessed to be living.

Alex is 4... I can only imagine what kind of a man he will grow up to become... living this life!

Happy Birth Day to Mommie...

Oh ya... it's Melissa's birthday tomorrow and although she isn't online... I bet she'd love to hear from you all (if and when she gets online) so feel free to send your birthday wishes to her here or on facebook.

They've been sleeping in their van with all their possessions crammed in it as well... so not much sleep happening on upright seats! (no room to recline the seats). The rain has been non-stop and their tent is full of water during the night so they can't stay in it.

Today they moved to a new campsite and are hoping it'll stay dry for the night.

If you want to gift Melissa for her birthday, you can of course use her paypal account with the email addy: loverawlife@gmail.com

Have a GREAT summer everyone!

in light,
Aleesha

Homeless... again.

Yup you read it right... Melissa and her boys are homeless again... this time in the freezing cold which sucks. They are scouting around to find somewhere to pitch a tent, in the meantime they are in a little leaky trailer someone said they could stay in till the end of the month.

There are so many layoffs everywhere that finding a job is still something they work on everyday but still are having no luck. Melissa has been getting some work doing Reiki with horses though so this is good. She's such a gifted healer... communicating with the horses and relaying that to their owners. If you know of anyone who's interested in having her work with their horse, shoot me an email and I can get in touch with her. She can work hands-on or by distance... either way is equally effective.

So let's send some warmth and sunshine her way... Melissa is doing her best to remain positive during this time. It's been a year since this adventure began - but it is definitely very hard on her. If you have any spare energy to send (or spare change) she would love it!

Oh and her e-books... there won't be any new ones for awhile... she needs to have someone to live first.

love to all,
Aleesha

John Deer Tractor's

Who would have thought that the very best toy on the ranch would be a John Deer Tractor? Alex! I have never seen a child to excited to see, watch and climb all over anything before. The Hippie and I have always been a fan of John Deer, this is a whole new experience for our Wee Man. Just as soon as that thing is fired up in the morning so is he, tearing off his jammies and getting into his boots. He is ready to "roll".
We are doing great, although I have not really been on line much for the past week, it is a nice feeling to just be and not worry abot what I need to get done on the computer. Nice and relaxing. It has been fun just spending all my time with my "boys" I am loving this!

Finally!

What a treat, we finally got to make milk this evening. Hemp milk that is. Alex squeeled with delight, he loves it!
You can hop on over to my blog to see exactly what we are up to these past few days. It has been a trip as usual. Alex's favorite place is now the Barn. He loves to go see Sara and her horses and just run and be free as a healthy child should be.
Alex's Menu for today:
Chia porridge
Spirulina cookies
Chlorella
Apple juice
Celery boats with tahini
Cherry tomato's
Hemp milk
Green Smoothie - Collards, banana & hemp oil
Mango
Banana with chia seeds sprinkled on them
Food out of his little cooler
So as you know we do not have a fridge right now so instead of Alex finding something to snack on from the cooler bin as he normally would, we have had to buy him his own little cooler. Man does he think he is someone special now! smiling
